The vice presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, will deliver a lecture on the true state of the economy today, Thursday September 8, 2016.
The lecture by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will centre be on the theme: “The State of the Ghanaian Economy: A foundation of Concrete or of Straw,” and will be chaired by former president John Agyekum Kufour.

The office of Dr. Bawumia said that the venue for today’s Public Lecture has been moved from the Accra International Conference Centre as earlier advertised to the National Theatre, Accra.

The change in venue follows a decision by the managers of the Conference Centre (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to deny organizers of the programme the use of the facility – 24 hours to the Public Lecture.
“Despite the setback, we will like to assure the general public that everything is set for the Lecture at the National Theatre tomorrow on the theme: “The State of the Ghanaian Economy – A Foundation of Concrete or Straw”, the statement said.
