Another reshuffle hits Police Service

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has transferred 38 senior police officers two months ahead of the December polls.

This is Mr John Kudalor’s fifth reshuffle in less than 10 months of his tenure in office.

She had been with the Police Staff College in Winneba. This is her second movement under Mr Kudalor.

Chief Superintendent Akwasi Kankam-Boadu who was the Donkorkrom Divisional Police Commander has also been transferred to the Half Assini Divisonal Command in the Western Region.

Chief Superintendent Cephas Kwofie, Amasaman Division, has been transferred to Donkorkrom to Head the Division.

The reshuffle comes on the back of a violence which hit Donkorkrom and some surrounding towns after some residents in the Afram Plains South district clashed with the police and destroyed properties.

ASP Kwesi Boakye, a district commander for Anloga, has also been moved to head the Kukuom district Police command.

The IGP has so far made 298 changes in one year.
