I Am No Angel - George Andah Challenges Hannah Tetteh's Seat

George Andah has declared to wrestle the Awutu Senya West constituency from incumbent MP, Hannah Tetteh.

The former Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, George Andah has declared his intentions to contest the Awutu Senya West constituency as Member of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

He will face a stiff challenge from incumbent MP Hannah Serwaa Tetteh who doubles as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

Mr Andah said he is ready to serve the constituency and the country.

“I am no angel but I have always been guided by certain values and principles and I believe that … my experience puts me in a good place to serve Ghana. I am with the new Ghanaian who believes that right is right and wrong is wrong irrespective political background you may have or political leader you admire,” he said.

The Former trades minister won the Awutu Senya constituency seat in the December 2000 parliamentary election and served for one term as National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament on the opposition benches. She did not contest her seat in the next election.

Hannah Tetteh won the Awutu Senya West constituency seat in the December 2000 parliamentary election by 55.47% of the total votes cast as against Oppey Abbey who managed to poll only 44.53%.

Andah was instrumental in the successes of MTN Ghana and Guinness Ghana limited has been vocal on national issues in recent times.

He currently manages his own private consultancy firm. George Andah  is also a leading member of Pressure Group OccupyGhana.
