Authorities have shut down the Dansoman gas station that killed one and injured several.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Ghana National Fire Service and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) closed down the gas station to allow for investigations into the matter.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) however, said it will push for the prosecution of owners of a gas station; located at a residential area in Dansoman, which suffered an explosion Sunday.
Meanwhile, a press release jointly issued by the institutions in question, “Customers are therefore advised not to purchase gas from the gas plant in question until further notice.”
The press release also added that an Investigative Committee comprising officers from the regulatory bodies has been set up to undertake detailed investigation and report to the appropriate authorities accordingly.
