Gambia Coup Attempt Mahama Visits Jammeh To Show Solidarity

The Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President John Dramani Mahama, paid a visit to the President of The Gambia following an attempted coup in his country.

The Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President John Dramani Mahama, paid a visit to the President of The Gambia following an attempted coup in his country.

Mr Mahama who visited The Gambia was with the Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission; Dr. Toga Gayewea McIntosh.

President Mahama said his visit, though brief, was to show ECOWAS' solidarity with President Yahya Jammeh and the people of The Gambia.

Mr Mahama said the visit was to demonstrate ECOWAS communities support and cooperation.
