This follows what they call the failure of chiefs and police to protect them from the activities of the nomadic herdsmen who continuously destroy their farms and attack them in the process.

The assembly member for the communities had earlier on gone to the police to find out why a Fulani man arrested for destruction of a farm was released.

David Gyimah was subsequently put behind bars following a confrontation with a police officer over the issue.

The incident angered the residents who came out in their numbers to protest over the issue.

Residents marched through the streets with war songs in a directionless procession.

They argue that they will take the law into their own hands if security agencies in the area fail to get rid of the Fulani herdsmen in the area.
