Sale e-vouchers of GNFS recruitment begins today

Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the GNFS Billy Anaglate who revealed this to pulse.com.gh said interested applicants should be 18 years and not more than 26 years for non-tradesmen, 35 to 40 years for drivers and not more than 30 years for the Officer Corps. Recruits must also have five credits in SSSCE or WASSCE including core English and Mathematics. Drivers and mechanics must have driver’s license D or F, minimum of five years accident free experience and either SSSCE, Ordinary or Advance Certificate, GES Intermediate level, NVTI Grades I & II Certificates or holding JHS Certificates.

Anaglatey mentioned that they have put in place stringent measures to prevent any recruitment scam. In recent years, some of the security services have been faced with recruitment scams which are yet to be resolved. Notable among them is the Ghana Police Service. But Anaglatey said they have learnt from the other security agencies in the country and have taken steps to prevent such occurrences. “We have improved process because we have also identified the challenges that the other agencies are having. So we are trusting that ours will be a perfect process so we don’t have any issues”.

“Those that have the requirement can purchase the voucher at the GCB Bank, which is 100gh and it is online registration. Those that do not meet the requirement when they purchase the voucher and register online, automatically the system will drop them,” Anaglatey said.

If the applicant meets the criteria he will be invited for what is called in the service as “body selection” after which an exam in Mathematics and English will be conducted.

"After you’ve been captured by the system, which means you have gone through the first stage, you will be invited to come first of all for body selection and also assess you in writing. What we look at in the body selection is to see whether you are physically fit by the National Fire Service Standard. Then you also write an examination in Maths and English to check your qualification”.

The sale of the e-voucher starts from Friday 8th July to 29th July.
