Farm is mine. Anthony Karbo talks about pictures showing him farming
Karbo, who doubles as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the Lawra Constituency in the Upper West Region, tells Pulse.com.gh the farm is his and that he has been farming since 2012.

He said he cultivates groundnut, maize and rears some livestock.
The pictures show Karbo busily tilling his two-acre farm land in anticipation of the rain with a group of young men in his constituency.
His opponents have taken to Facebook to mock him, saying he is working on people’s farmland for votes.

“Indeed I have been farming since 2012, I have a groundnut farm, two-acre groundnut farm, I have a maize farm, I rear some livestock as well,” Karbo told Pulse.com.gh. “I just love to do that. This is who I am and clearly, I come from a farming community and these young people have been helping me on my farm for the last three years.”
Karbo added: “those who think that it is being done for election purposes or for votes can continue to mock and laugh but I am not doing it for votes.”
According to him, he does not benefit directly from the proceeds of his farm because he distributes it to windows, the aged and the poor in his community who “do not have the capacity to go out there and till the lands.”
“I do it unashamedly. I am not ashamed of what I do,” he stressed.
