Some GFA officials are in the grips of the police for allegedly plotting to kill a sports journalist.
Black Stars management committee Chairman, George Afriyie and another Ghana Football Association (GFA) official, Kofi Manu have been invited by the Nima Police for allegedly plotting to assassinate Sports Presenter, Countryman Songo.
The two, are helping the police to investigate a report by a Taxi driver that they are orchestrating the assassination of Patrick Osei Agyeman who is a known critic of the leadership of Ghana Football Association.
Songo as he is commonly known is the presenter of Adom TV and Asempa FM’s Fire 'For Fire Programme' which dissects without favour and consideration issues affecting Ghana sports.
The presenter is credited for helping bring sanity into Ghana’s sports fraternity following several years of mismanagement and poor performance by various national football teams.
Afriyie was invited along with football administrator Kofi Manu,who was also named in the report by Osei Agyeman to the station at 10 am on Thursday morning and left at 1:30 pm after answering questions and making their statements.
