PPP Threatens To Sue Commission's 10-Member Committee

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has threatened a legal suit against the 10-member committee of the Electoral Commission over the party’s exclusion from the committee.

The PPP is seeking to place a court injunction on the work of the committee to oversee electoral reforms in the country.

The Electoral Commission on Friday inaugurated a 10-member committee with representatives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the General Secretary, Kofi Siaw, the PPP’s exclusion from the committee is unfair.

He said the party is currently considering its options and we have considered going to court.
