Devnik Ghana Limited, a pharmacy shop at Osu in Accra has been gutted by fire when a staff attempted to fill the generator set with fuel.

According to reports, the generator set was already running due to a power outage and had run low on fuel. The worker’s attempt to refill led to the unfortunate incident as he failed to turn the generator off before filling with the fuel.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service are currently at the scene to put the situation under control.

The current power fluctuation has compelled businesses to resort to the use of generators in order to keep their businesses running.
