Power cuts to end in March - ECG

Several parts of Accra have recently been experiencing some power outages, which have often lasted for several days.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured that frequent power outages in most parts of Accra will cease by the first week of March.

But Eric Asante, Public Relations Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Accra West said that measures are underway to solve the problems leading to the outages.

“We have some distribution and transmission challenges at the moment. The distribution has to do with the ECG and the transmission of the power to ECG is the work of GRIDCo, but there are some challenges we are fixing to ensure that outages stop,” he told Accra FM.

“By the first week of March that level of outages we are experiencing at the moment will stop,” he added.
