Sam George is not credible to speak for Ibrahim Mahama - Lawyer

A private legal practitioner lawyer Kwame Adofo has downplayed the credibility of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram constituency Sam George for defending the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama.

According to him,  Sam George has done a lot of things to dent his own credibility and it will be good he stays away from matters that bother on credibility.

In an interview on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM, he said "Nonsense! Where is the credibility of Sam George? Is Sam George is the defender and spokesperson for Ibrahim Mahama."

He's been investigated by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

Lawyer Kwame Adofo however, called for the prosecution of the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Revenue Authority and other officials at the harbour for covering up such criminal deals.

"There is a lot that he has done we do not want to go into it. Let’s first concentrate on what Ibrahim Mahama has done, if you an ordinary person had done that, you could have gone to jail," he added.

He said "If you commit an offense you have to pay for it to serve as deterrent to those standing by watching.

Meanwhile, he has been ordered by EOCO to pay GH¢12.7 million to the state before May 8.
