An 18-year-old-boy, Philip Aboagye has been arrested in Adeiso with six large parcels of dried leaves in addition to its seeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
He was arrested on October 07, 2015 at 1830hrs at Adeiso near Nsawam.
In an interview with Pulse.com.gh, acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police command, Sergent Gideon Boateng said a search was conducted in the vehicle which was moving from Kpong towards Adeiso and saw Philip Aboagye carrying a black bag seated in the vehicle and a search by the police intercepted the dried leaves in the bag of the suspect.
Philip Aboagye, according to the PRO hails from Akyem- Awuta.
He added that investigations to ascertain the source of the drugs were still ongoing adding that the police will arraign the suspect before court and the exhibit will be sent to the laboratory for test and verification.
