MP's 'boy' climbs filling station roof to prevent demolition

Osmanu Gurantee who claims to be an aide to the Ayawaso East Member of Parliament (MP)- [the purported owner of the filling station] has refused to come down to enable the demolishing go on.

 

There was drama at a filling station in Mile 7, a suburb in Accra when a young man held-up a planned demolition exercise by climbing on top of the gas station to prevent its demolition.

Every form of persuasion from the authorities have proved futile.

The demolition exercise has also seen a washing bay and other houses in the area pulled down.

There have been several demolishing activities going on across the country especially the capital, Accra following last Wednesday’s devastating floods and gas station explosion that killed over 150 people in the process.
