Analysis

Despite increased education and awareness by the government, non-profit organisations and gender groups, domestic violence persists in the country.

The Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service constantly complains about the lack of women reporting incidents of domestic violence, largely due to pressure from family members.
