Report indicates that a girl who went to the Kwame Nkrumah Circle with her brother for an internship got missing.
The name of the girl according to her friends known as Lois Banahene is missing. She was with her brother who was burnt in the GOIL fire.
The heavy downpour in the capital rendered several places flooded and also led to power outages in several communities. Reports suggest that the fire service personnel struggled to fight the inferno last night. Officially, it is unclear what sparked the blaze at the service station.
It is not clear what started the fire that completely destroyed the filling station next to the GCB Bank Circle Tower branch, and also burnt several houses and shops, but eyewitnesses suspect fuel-laden floods could have imported the fire which trapped many who had sought refuge from torrential rains that cut off several communities from major roads.
