A massive fire has gutted a tanker yard behind the Ashiaman Timber Market Sunday afternoon.

Seven people are feared dead and four cars are reportedly burnt.

It is unclear what caused the fire but multiple eyewitness account say the fire spread from a filling station closer to the tanker.

Fire personnel were at the scene to douse the blaze.
