Two Police Officers Given 10 Days Ultimatum To Produce Criminals

Tow Police Officers have been asked to produce the seven suspected criminals who broke cell within 10 days.

Two police officers have been given a 10-day ultimatum to arrest the seven suspected criminals who broke cell at the Denu Police Station in the Volta region last Friday.

The seven overpowered police officers on guard and made away with two AK47 rifles from the Police armory.

According to the Volta Regional Police Commander DCOP Peterkin Yentumi-Gyinae, the pictures of the suspects have been published to aid in their arrest.

He revealed Togo security agencies are working closely with them to locate the hideouts of the suspected criminals.

The commander said no police officer will be spared if found culpable.

“We have processes when these things come and one of the processes is that we allow them some days to look for them and if they don’t get them and then the other processes will follow so we are following the processes,” DCOP Yentumi-Gyinae told Citi FM.

Six other suspects who were part of the pack were, however, overpowered by the Police and are still in cells. None of the Police Officers sustained injuries.
