Asamoah Gyan in an alleged sex scandal

Halifax Ansah-Addo, editor of News-One newspaper has stated that, the photograph which accompanied their publication that a 22 year old, Sarah Kwabla is threatening to release a sex video of Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, is indeed the said lady.

One livid Sarah Kwabla told Joy News that, although she has the same name as the lady in the scandal, she has been mistakenly identified. She vehemently denied association with the player.

“I am the one whose picture is in the newspapers but I am not the one. I feel very bad especially when my friends call me talking about this issue while I am not the one. I have a Facebook page and I use the same name, Sara Kwabla. It was taken from Facebook but it’s not me. I don’t even know Asamoah Gyan; I’ve not met him before,” she said.

But Halifax, speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM insisted that the picture that came with the publication is the same Sarah Kwabla in the sex tape.

“I had it from the same sources who gave me the story. I did a little crosscheck and as at the time I put the picture out there, my editorial team and I had every cause to believe it was the Sarah Kwabla we were talking about.”

Asked what made him believe the lady in question was indeed the one in the picture, the editor answered saying, “I’m not so sure why you are dwelling on the picture, how I got the picture, why I thought it was her… my attention has been drawn to a news item aired on Joy and Peace FM that the lady on our page 12 says she is not the Sarah Kwabla we are talking about.”

He continued: “Management of my company drew my attention that she had complained it is not her. I have been asked to look for her, get the proper identity, apologise to her [the one complaining], and then do the appropriate thing. Just when I was about getting to Joy to look for her contact and apologise to her in person, I decided to run a few checks from my sources again and they insisted the picture on our page 12 is the same Sarah Kwabla they are talking about. It is the word of my sources who I see and meet versus the word of the lady who says it’s not her who I have not seen; I have not met.”
