A 12-year-old class 6 pupil at Abokyikrom L/A Primary School in the New Abirim District of the Eastern region has been killed by some unknown assailants.
The incident occurred when the innocent boy was on his way to church on Sunday.
Michael was then riding his bicycle from Osei Yaw Akura to Abokyikrom where he worshipped with the Church of Pentecost, Accra-based Adom FM has reported.
Residents raised suspicions about the whereabouts of the boy after an uncle found the boy's bicycle and sandals by the roadside.
A search party was commissioned to look for Michael, where he was later found dead with a slit throat.
The youth in the community subsequently arrested and handed over to the Nkawkaw police one Togolese and two Ghanaians suspected to be connected to the crime.
The Nkawkaw Divisional police is, however, yet to confirm the incident.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Nkawkaw Holy Trinity Family Hospital for autopsy.
