The outgoing Moderator is known for his criticism of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC). He was recently lambasted by members of the NDC when he promised that the Presby Church will support Nana Akufo Addo to develop Ghana if he wins the December 2016 polls.

He was speaking at a press conference held Tuesday where he also stated that he will continue to comment on national issues no matter the verbal attacks he receives.
