President John Mahama says he is “gutted” by the death of the late Ghanaian Times newspaper journalist, Samuel Nuamah who died in an accident involving the presidential press corps on August 20, 2015.

President John Mahama and some government officials graced an event to mark the one week of the passing of the journalist at the Press Centre Saturday.

President Mahama in signing the book of condolence wrote “Samuel I’m so gutted by your death, 6 years of dedicated service in my office and it had to end like this… Fare thee well.”

Samuel Nuamah, would be buried on September 17, 2015, according to his family.

The funeral service for the late journalist would be held at the forecourt of the State House, Accra, before his remains would be laid to rest at the Osu Cemetary.
