"The Lady Is Not My Son's Girlfriend, I Have No Son" - Nana Obiri Boahene

Nana Obiri Boahene maintained that I have no son in this world called Eric, neither do I have a son living or working in the UK.

The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rubbished a publication in the Daily Post newspaper which suggests that his son is the boyfriend of Nayele Ametefe, the lady arrested at the Heathrow Airport for attempting to smuggle class A drugs into the United Kingdom.

According to Nana Obiri Boahene, the entire publication is false and the paper will pay dearly for this action.

“..if they do it to other people and go scot free, then it is not me Obiri Boahene. I will make them pay by dragging them to court to answer for this. Let me tell you, my first son is working with Coca-cola in the USA, the second one is studying law and the third and forth are eight and four years respectively.

“What are they talking about? They (Daily Post) do this to people and nothing is said but I assure you, I will deal with them and everyone will testify to it,” he told Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, the host of Ade Akye Abia on Okay FM.

The newly appointed Deputy General Secretary of the NPP made these comments in reaction to a story in the 24th November, 2014 edition of the Daily Post newspaper with the caption, ‘Cocaine Girl’s NPP Links Being Established’.

The paper stated emphatically that “one of the strongest links so far of Ruby to the NPP is her boyfriend, Eric Boahene, son of Nana Obiri Boahene, newly appointed Deputy General Secretary of the NPP.

“This paper’s investigations indicate that the British authorities have decided to interrogate Eric, suspecting that he was to meet Ruby at the Heathrow Airport on arrival”.

But Nana Obiri Boahene maintained that “I have no son in this world called Eric, neither do I have a son living or working in the UK. This desperate move to link members of the NPP to this case is an indication of God’s punishments on the NDC”.

“After Ama Benyiwa Doe and others labeled us Narcotics People’s Party, it turns out you (NDC) are the ones dealing in these things. God has punished you,” he angrily said.
