Agyinasare weighs in on NPP crisis

According to him, unity in the NPP is paramount considering the magnitude of recent events in the party.

The founder of Perez Chapel International (PCI) Bishop Charles Agyinasare has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to resolve its internal wrangling as the country cannot afford a weak opposition.

"As a nation we cannot afford to have a weak opposition. We need a vibrant opposition that can serve as a check on the Government…the unity of the NPP at this time is very important”, he said at the ongoing Supernatural Empowerment Summit at the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu.

Bishop Agyinasare led a prayer session to intercede for the NPP. The internal wrangling in NPP has intensified over the last few weeks following the killing of the Upper East regional chairman, Adams Mahama. Some members of the party have accused the national chairman, Paul Afoko and general secretary, Kwabena Agyepong for masterminding the killing. Flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, on Friday urged all members to stop pointing fingers and wait for the police to conclude their investigations. He also called on them to cease fire and work in unison.
