Supreme Court judge Justice Baffour Bonney has expressed his surprise at embattled High court judge Justice Paul Dery who has been implicated in alleged bribery scandal for filing a contempt suit against another judge Justice Torkonoo hearing a contempt case he brought before her.

According to the apex court judge who was part of a five panel of justices hearing the case, Justice Dery with his years of experience at the bench should have taken into cognizance article 127, clause three of the constitution which protects a Justice of a Superior Court, or any person exercising judicial power, from any action or suit for any act or omission by him in the exercise of the judicial power.

Justice Dery filed the contempt case against Justice Getrude Torkornoo after she dismissed another contempt suit without proper jurisdiction brought against five others including Tiger eye PI and Cheif Executive Officer of EIB Network for showing Anas Aremeya Anas' video of his judicial corruption Exposé.

However Justice Derry withdrew his suit after several minutes of legal exchanges between the Supreme Court judges and his lawyer Nii Kpakpo Addo.
