Travelling journalists involved in accident

About nine journalists in the Northern Region are involved in an accident.

Reports indicate that some journalists travelling with Environment, Science and Technology Minister, Mahama Ayariga have been involved in a vehicular accident.

The accident occurred at Bole in the Northern Region where a ford with registration number NR 695 in which they were travelling run into a ditch as they were heading towards Banda Nkwanta.

The nine Tamale-based journalists sustained various degrees of injuries including fractures and have since been rushed to the Bole District hospital for treatment.

Their names were given as Majeed Yakubu of Ghanaian Times, Abdul Karim Natogma of Accra-based Citi FM, Adam Salifu who is a cameraman of TV3 and Albert Futokpoh of the Ghana News Agency.

The rest are Alimah Bawa of Bishara radio, Ibrahim Muhammad of Zaar radio and two cameramen from UTV and Joy News respectively.

The driver of the Ford vehicle has also been rushed to the hospital as well.
