Two Men Stole Kia Pride And Sold To A Scrap Dealer To Dismantle It

The Dansoman police have arrested three men for their involvement in snatching and selling a Kia Pride

Three men, who were reportedly involved in an attempt to car snatching and sale, have been arrested by Dansoman police at Weija. The first two suspects; Samuel Teye, 26, a driver, and Yaw Agyemang, 36, a mechanic, planned to steal the vehicle, a Kia Pride with registration number GR 2760-10 and sell it to the third suspect, Naziru Yakubu, 25, a scrap dealer at Agbogloshie.

After the car was stolen during which the driver was nearly strangled, Yakubu later met the two other men at Weija to collect the vehicle and dismantle it as planned.

According to the Dansoman Police commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. Anwti Tabi, the taxi driver raised an alarm for help and was assisted by some residents in the area to arrest Teye.

Teye was later handed over to the Dansoman police patrol team and through investigations, Mr Tabi said Teye admitted to the offence and led the police to arrest Agyemang at a hideout at Agbobgloshie.
