The Ghana Police Service has said that people who go to the bank to withdraw huge sums of money must alert them for an escort.
This follows a robbery incident that occurred at Tema in the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday (February 28, 2018).

The armed robbers shot and killed a Lebanese businessman who had gone to cash Gh¢200,000 from the bank.
The deceased Ahmed Safiadeen, aged 54, is a cashier at Delta Agro Company. He had gone to withdraw money from the Tema Industrial Area branch of the Zenith Bank for the payment of salaries of workers and other factory expenses of the company.
Ghanaians are currently living in fear following the increasing armed robbery operations in the country.

Before the Tema robbery, there had been another incident at the Royal Motors offices at Industrial Area in Accra where 4 armed robbers made away with Gh¢500,000 on Tuesday.
In a related development, the minority in Parliament has called for the immediate nationwide deployment of a joint military and police taskforce.
However, Security Analyst Dr Aning said that will not be needed if government equips the police.
