British national admits 'killing girlfriend and two children'

Arthur Simpson-Kent's lawyer told the Old Bailey the jury would be told this at his trial in October, BBC has reported.

He is yet to enter a formal plea.

Arthur Simpson-Kent had arrived in Ghana after fleeing from the UK as a result of an alleged murder of his girlfriend Sian Blake and two children and burying the bodies of the victims in a shallow grave in the garden behind their apartment at Erith in London.

He was arrested at Busua near Takoradi in Ghana on the 9th of January, 2016.

Arthur Sampson Kent later submitted himself voluntarily to be sent to the United Kingdom for trial.

He was arrested at Heathrow Airport after being extradited from Ghana.

The 48-year-old hairdresser is expected to enter pleas on 29 July.
