Executive Director of the Commission, Jones Applerh believes this year's election could lead to politically motivated violence if the trend is not checked.

Speaking to Accra-based Joy FM, Mr. Applerh said the region is currently experiencing a trend associated with stockpiling of weapons.

He fears vigilante groups could end up using such weapons to perpetuate violence.
