Judicial Committee suspends sitting

The five member committee investigating allegations of bribery leveled against 22 magistrates have suspended their sittings for a month.

 

The news of the suspension was made known to lawyers of the judges when they appeared before the committee today.

Information reaching Pulse News reveal that some member of the committee will not be available in the coming days as they will be travelling.

Tiger Eye PI have also written to the committee stating that they will be outside the jurisdiction in the coming days.

The Judicial Committee have been investigating the bribery allegations leveled against the 22 judges for some weeks now, to ascertain the validity of alleged wrong doing by the judges who have been accused of receiving bribes of several amounts in addition to material items from undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in order to discharge some individuals facing all kinds of crimes ranging from murder to drug trafficking.
