Chief Executive Officer of Chocho Industries Limited, Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng has revealed plans to lay off workers if the erratic power supply persists.

Speaking in an interview with Adom TV, he stated that the company’s operations cost increased as a result of the crisis.

Alhaji Chocho revealed that his industry spends GH₵1, 000 daily on fuel because of the intense load shedding and as a result has increased its cost of production.

He noted that though he has laid off about 15 workers, he intends to sack more due to the worsening energy situation popularly known as dumsor.
