The Judicial staff workers have called off its strike over unpaid allowances owed them by government.

Supreme court of Ghana

Pulse.com.gh can confirm that the Judicial Service Workers Association (JUSAG) has called off a two-day strike declared Tuesday.

The decision to call off the strike was reached after a meeting with the Labour Ministry, Thursday.

The strike was in protest over unpaid allowances which have been in arrears for several months.

Some litigants, friends and family members have been left stranded behind the closed gates of some High and Circuit Courts across the country on Wednesday due to the strike.

According to JUSAG members, several appeals to the government over their concerns have yielded no results.

But the Labour and Employment Ministry have assured the aggrieved workers that government will pay the allowances.
