The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Allotey Jacobs has rubbished suggestions by some communicators of the NDC that Nana Akufo-Addo should take a back stage in Ghanaian politics due to his age.

Nana Akufo-Addo's critics, especially those from the governing NDC said he was ageing and should give up in the Presidential contest.

But speaking on Peace FM's morning show, Kokrokoo, Allotey jacobs disagreed with such political pundits and opined that age does not matter in politics.

He insisted that there was nothing wrong with Nana Akufo-Addo to contest the 2016 Presidential election at age 72.

Meanwhile, Lead Counsel for Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2012 elections, Philip Addison has debunked the campaign issue of old age against Nana Akufo-Addo saying age matter can no longer hold following General Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the Nigeria elections.

He said “The issue of age which some have used saying Nana Addo is too old has been demolished.”
