GFA - Anyone Whose Aim Is To Destroy The Black Stars Is A Witch

Spokesperson of the Ghana FA has hit back at journalists for criticising the black stars over a Jeep Cherokee vehicle.

The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara has lashed out at journalists and soccer pundits for criticizing the recent donation of a Grand Cherokee Jeeps to the Black Stars at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports indicate that government has rewarded the each Black Stars player and management members with a Grand Cherokee Jeep but the Ghana FA denied the report, stating that the donation was from Tanink Ghana Limited.

Sannie Daara speaking on Peace FM said “Anyone whose aim is to destroy the Black Stars is a witch. There’s this growing calculated campaign to demonize the Black Stars just because people are appreciating their efforts for the brilliant performance they exhibited in Equatorial Guinea.

I don’t understand why people are campaigning against the Black Stars. Black Stars players are also Ghanaians”.

“Why must Ghanaians be aggrieved if some company is willing to donate cars to the Black Stars?” he questioned. Adding that “Government did not purchase those cars,” he stated.

The Jeep Cherokee vehicle was estimated to cost $76,000 each.
