Gregory Afoko to reappear in court today

One of the suspects in the Adams Mahama murder case, Gregory Afoko has been remanded into police custody.

An Accra Magistrate Court will today, Tuesday June 23, begin committal Proceedings for the two suspects accused of killing the late Upper East regional Chairman of the NPP, Adams Mahama.

Greggory Afoko and MusaIssa have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and murder.

At the last court hearing, State Prosecutors told the court that they have forwarded a copy of their docket to the Attorney General's Department for advice.

According to the charge sheet presented by the Police, one other man, Asabke Aladi who is believed to be his accomplice is currently on the run.

Gregory Afoko is believed to be the brother of the NPP’s national chairman Paul Afoko.

The Presiding judge at the last court sitting remanded both accused persons into Police custody after rejecting bail applications by their lawyers.
