Most Ghanaian celebrities have expressed shock at Wednesday’s flood and inferno that claimed many lives.

A heavy downpour in the capital city, Accra, last night put many lives in danger. Several homes in many parts of Accra were flooded whiles commuters were left stranded as most roads were almost immotorable. The rains, which started around 4.30pm and lasted till midnight, caused heavy vehicular traffic at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Spintex, Kaneshie and several other places.

Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service has confirmed that over 100 bodies have been retrieved from the debris of the GOIL filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra that caught fire during Wednesday’s torrential rains.
