Akua Donkor is ready to take care of your baby if you can’t afford to

The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party Madam Akua Donkor said mothers who cannot afford to take care of their children should bring their babies to her instead of abandoning them at unhealthy places such as dumpsites.

This is because Madam Akua Donkor said she has intentions to establish a home to cater for abandoned kids in the country.

She, therefore, said such mothers should bring their babies to her home instead of abandoning them at unhealthy places such as dumpsites.

“If you are pregnant and don’t want the baby please walk to my place, give birth and leave the baby there I will take care of them,” she added.

Speaking to journalists after giving evidence in a robbery case in Accra she added that the home will be located at Adieso in the Eastern Region.

She said mothers who are caught throwing their babies away must be killed when caught because it is criminal.

According to her she was moved recently by the plight of a baby boy who was put in a polythene bag and abandoned at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

Asked how she was going to fund the project, she said she would do her best to mobilise funds on her own to start the project.
