Mr Boateng recounted how he started the business with GHS 1,470 – a loan his mum secured for him for the purpose of producing and selling bread.

According to him, initially he would end up burning several loaves because he didn't know how to bake bread.

He however attributed his success to his determination and perseverance, saying he had managed to put up a big bakery in the Ashanti Region with 200 employees and 21 vans for supplying bread to various locations.
