Five arrested in relation to death of MP

NPP MP for Abuakwa North constituency, JB Danquah was stabbed to death Tuesday dawn. The murder was carried out by unknown assailants in his bedroom. He is 50 years old and left behind a wife and two children.

Meanwhile, five people have been arrested in connection with the death of the MP.

According to Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Afia Tenge, two women and three men have been arrested, including a private security guard who was at the residence when the MP was killed for questioning.

Also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the “bloody murder” of its Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North as “shocking.” The acting national chairman of the main opposition NPP Freddie Blay said the party “is in a state of shock” .

The party also described the death as an unfortunate situation.

FPSO Kwame Nkrumah shuts down indefinitely

Pulse Business can confirm that Ghana's FPSO Kwame Nkrumah  has shutdown indefinitely.

A source from the Petroleum Ministry said, the FPSO developed a technical problem in the pump of the FPSO on Monday that engineers have not been able to fix. They are uncertain as to when the problem will be fixed however.

Minister of Sports designate, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije has revealed plans to cut budgetary support to the GFA. According to the MP for Odododiodio the Ghana Football Association should be able to secure sponsorships to manage the various national teams.
