Under the auspices of Media Excel, popular ex-policeman and gospel musician Superintendent Kofi Sarpong has told Flex newspaper in an exclusive interview last Sunday 24th May, 2015 after a studio session that he will be releasing his third album God willing next week.
According to SP Kofi Sarpong, he has nine songs on his current album which has varieties of songs done in Agbadza, Borborbor, praises, worship and inspirational songs.
He said the songs are inspirational, dance-able, encouraging and above all soul wining.
“My first two albums had two years intervals but this time around we are in our third year and that should tell Ghanaians how prepared I am coming out with it. The title of the album is yet to be decided but it may be Lion of Judah, Man of Judah or any other title that will best suit the album. There are songs like Take it by Force, Borborbor, Pentecostal Praises and others.
I featured Joyce Blessing in most of my songs and also had Shee contributing to the success of the album." During the interview, SP Kofi Sarpong disclosed that Joyce Blessing wrote some of his songs for him while the others were written by himself, Nana Oti and his manager Kwesi Ernest.
Having varieties of great song writers and composers on one album while songs were produced, mixed and mastered by renowned four dynamic sound engineers like Nacy, Dave Joy, Collins Tee and Shadrack popularly known as Shaa with Unbreakable backers involved, there is no doubt that the album will be one of the best in 2015.
We are on set shooting the video to some of the songs and Ghanaians should expect it on their screens soon he told Flex newspaper.
