South African singer defies Sony Music Africa to release album online

While Delazy has remained defiant defying the agreement with Sony Music Africa, the music company had remained silent on the issue.

South African pop singer, Toya Delazy has engaged Sony Music Africa, which she has a deal with, in a solo battle for the release of her songs and album to the general public.

According to reports, the singer wasn't happy with the delay in the distribution of physical copies of her latest album, , in music stores around the country, thus she released the album to stream online for free.

The move, it was further reported, angered the management of the music company and the album was pulled down from SoundCloud, where the artist had earlier uploaded it for free download and listening pleasure of fans and the general public.

Meanwhile Delazy took to her Twitter handle to vent her frustration and anger to fans and public as well as promising fans to expect the album back online.

In one of her tweets, she wrote, 'On top of being unable to distribute my album, they now make my music completely unaccessible. I'm in an invisible prison.

'It's difficult to work with peeps that are using methodologies of the 90's in 2015 , everything has changed, especially the way we get music,'she tweeted,
