Beats Music has approached Taylor Swift over an exclusive deal. The singer is among a host of artists including Florence And The Machine who have been approached by the Apple service. Swift, who famously pulled her music off Spotify last year, is in talks to strike a partnership, according to Bloomberg. The idea is that it will encourage more people to sign up to the Apple-owned subscription music service. The company bought Beats Music last May and it's expected to be relaunched later this year. It comes after Jay-Z relaunched the Tidal streaming service last month with 15 other artists, which Swift has also signed up to.

Swift was recently listed amongst the world's most powerful people. The singer came sixth in Fortune's World's Greatest Leaders poll behind Apple CEO Tim Cook at number one, European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi, Xi Jinping, the Chinese President and two places behind Pope Francis. She is the highest placed woman in the list which ranks "extraordinary" people who are "transforming business, government and philanthropy".Swift took a stand against Spotify last November, removing all her tracks without prior notice, just days after the release of '1989'. She justified her decision by arguing that the bosses of the streaming site, which allows users to listen to millions of songs for free, aren't compensating artists and songwriters properly.Swift has since allowed some of her music to be streamed via's Jay-Z's subscription based music service Tidal.
