Rapper Az'd talks music, challenges, favourite artists and more

We caught up with Az'd to talk about life in Ghana, music career, challenges, latest music video, upcoming projects, favourite Ghanaian rappers and actors and more.

Discussing his music career, Az'd said he started music while in his Senior High School level ten years ago but ventured into music professionally six years ago.

Explaining what brought him to Ghana, the "Paper" hitmaker said he came to Ghana in 2012 to pursue his education along with his music career.

Talking about the differences between the Ghanaian and Nigerian music industry, Az'd stated that there are no differences. He also admitted that Ghana music is more acceptable than Nigerian music.

On his biggest career challenges, he said school and funds were the only challenges he faced in the his career.

He said his latest video titled "E Dey Be" featuring Payper was basically done to express his inner passion.

On his top 5 favourite Ghanaian musicians, Az'd went for Sarkodie, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Mugeez and Shatta Wale. He listed Joselyn Dumas, Kofi Adjorlolo, John Dumelo, Van Vicker and Christabel Ikeh as his favourite actors.

Finally, Az'd revealed that he has collaborated with Afro-Dancehall star, Jupitar, and Nigerian star Ycee, and planning to work with Sarkodie. He hinted at dropping his debut album in March or early April.
