Multiple award-winning and multi talented Hip-life legend, Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng popularly known in the showbiz circles as Ohene (formerly known as Kontihene) is gradually making a complete comeback from his unannounced hiatus.

The "M'adamfo Pa B3ko" rapper, who has been off the scene for over 5 years for no apparent reason announced his presence January last year with an inspirational Afro-Gospel inspired single titled “Etuo Mu Esum” an Akan saying which literally translates as “there’s darkness in a gun”. The catchy lyrics and the inspiration behind the song gave him an immediate nod and well received by Ghanaians and across the shores.

Ohene capitalised on the momentum of his hit single “Etuo Mu Esum” by following up with another Afrobeat flavoured Hip-life single titled “Dedeede”. The song which was produced by Black Avenue Muzik in-house producer and 2015 VGMA “Producer of the Year” award winner, DJ Breezy also features some ‘deadly’ lyrics from Tema based rapper, Yaa Pono. The banger and its video is currently rotating on the various social media platforms and enjoying some massive radio and TV airplay.

In an effort to complete his dramatic come-back, the “Asesa” hit man has collaborated with Born Starz winner, Nero X on yet another street anthem titled “Juju” which was produced by Skinny Willis. According to the rapper, the song is the confirmation of his victory over fellas using voodoo to garner fame and survive in the music industry.

In an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh, the influential singer/songwriter/rapper disclosed the reason behind his latest single and how he would triumph over his colleagues involved in the obnoxious act saying “’Juju’ is to warn those in the creative arts business and the country at large who think they can use voodoo, charms and Wicca to intimidate others.

“There is a super power thus (God Almighty) in him we trust. So I fear less and I will always triumph over their rituals. Especially those that happen at back stage of concerts and event venues.

“On the other hand since life and death is in the power of the tongue. It's a song to discharm any bewitching.”

Ohene has also launched the #Dedeede and #Juju challenge where you can win one of the latest Nokia phones by singing the lyrics of the song on Hitz 103.9 FM morning show hosted by Doreen Avio and Black I. Ladies with heavy booties could record themselves dancing to the song and sharing on social media with the respective hashtags.
