Not over Obour to re-contest for MUSIGA presidency despite opposition

Reigning president of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour has officially announce his intention to re-contest for the position of president of MUSIGA this year when his term in office ends.

Obour, who has a few months to end his tenure in office made this assertion at the 16th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Accra international Conference Centre when he was call on to announce a winner.

Though, he has been jabbed my many musicians over his incompetence, he believes his decision and declaration to re-race for the position of MUSIGA president was out of a strong conviction to continue and persist with his good works as well as some programmes and projects he has initiated during his term in office.

Self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale is among the view musicians who have showed disappointment in the MUSIGA president but that isn't an obstacle for Mr. Bice.

Veteran musician, Bessa Simons also used same platform to reach out to all up and coming artistes who are not yet registered members of The Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) to do so as soon as possible, spelling out some benefits they stand to gain.
