Singer Gets Stars Support For Her ‘Red Concert’ Set For February 7

Mzbel has revealed that top Ghanaian music stars will grace her "Red Concert" set for February 7.

She made a return to the music scene late last year when she released a new single, Legelege, and since then, Saucy Girl singer, Mzbel, has found her way back to serious music business.

She gave her fans a taste of her “maturity” when she performed at the Becca Girl Talk Show last December but come February 7, Mzbel who rose to prominence in 2004 will stage a concert dubbed, Mzbel Red Concert at the National Theatre to mark her decade anniversary in the industry.

The concert, which will have other artistes support her on the day, according to Mzbel, is her “thank you” package to her fans who have seen and supported her through her rise and difficult times in her music career.

In an interview with Showbiz on Tuesday, Mzbel recounted her journey in music a decade ago when she released her debut album, Awoso Me, and since then, has grown to become one of the known faces on the hiplife and rap scene.

She expressed her appreciation to her fans for the reception accorded her when she returned to active music last year.

For her, it is evidence of the unflinching support she has earned for her talent and music. She said, “There have been good, bad and thankfully, no ugly times in spite of everything that has happened over the period. I’m eternally grateful”.

Apart from music, Mzbel told Showbiz that the week-long celebrations will include a variety of events such as a Women Empowerment seminar. “Over the years, I have been passionate about issues concerning women and the girl child and I think the time is now to make the impact.

“This anniversary is not just about my music but giving back to society for pushing me to the top,” she stated.

Real name, Nana Akua Amoah, Mzbel is known for songs such as Awoso Me, Kiss Me, 16 years and Saucy Girl.
