We have a few hours to the 58th edition of Grammy Awards will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Ghana is lucky this as our very own Rocky Dawuni grabbed a nomination for his 5th studio album "Branches of The Same Tree" in the "Best Reggae Album" category..

This year, American rapper Kendrick Lamar topped the nominations list with 11, followed by singers The Weeknd and Taylor Swift with 7 each.

LL Cool J will return to host the awards for the fifth year in a row, and has promised that viewers are in for a "spectacular show" in a recent interview with Studio Wrap.

A number of stars including Ariana Grande, James Corden, Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran are confirmed to present awards. Joining them on presenting duties are Sam Smith, Kaley Cuoco, Anna Kendrick and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane.

Taylor Swift will open the show with a performance from her Grammy-nominated album "1989". Her friend Ellie Goulding is also confirmed to take to the stage, as are Justin Bieber, Rihanna, The Weeknd and Adele – who will give her first performance at the awards since 2012.

Kendrick Lamar will also perform on the night, and host LL Cool J has revealed that the rapper is planning something "very controversial".
