Ghanaian silky voice Reggae singer, Knii Lante,  will join the likes of international acts Etana, Tony Rebel, Junior Kelly, Jah 9, Third World and more at this year’s Salute Rebel in Jamaica on Friday, January 16, 2015.

Knii Okunka Blankson’s musical talent unfolded when he was very young and he has been in the music scene since 1988. He was influenced by the music of Bob Marley, Osibisa, Michael Jackson, A.B Crentsil and Luther Vandross. Knii Lante grew up in Accra, performed at numerous events both in and outside Ghana.

He was featured on Blakk Rasta’s popular hit single “BARRACK OBAMA” which he sung to commemorate the current president of America. The late Michael Dwamena also featured him on his hit song “NGOZI” which won an award in 2007/2008 for Best Collaboration.

In 2010, Knii Lante released his debut album “LOVE & REVOLUTION” produced by his long time friend; Zapp Mallet, Robert Johnson and Joe Amoah. The album was fully packed with hit songs such as "Road” (a tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah), “When you love someone" featuring singer and rapper Trigmatic and “Lagos to Vienna” .

In 2012,  he received the award for the “BEST VOCALIST” at the Ghana Music Awards. He also released a single “HOUSE OF PAIN” recorded in Jamaica with producer Dean Fraser which won him yet another award.

Knii Lante plays Guitar and Piano and a true Pan-Africanist. He is also a Physician Specialist -- no wonder he’s affectionately called “SINGING DOCTOR”.
